The Order for 12 Personnel Safety Cages for the dock workers of MAERSK SPAIN (Puerto de Algeciras) signed in April has been ended up succesfully with a last delivery during August.
Personnel Safety Cages represents the best solution while securing and lashing containers. The idea, full design and production from TEC's technical team, is a structure, very similar to a 20' container linked to a crane spreader where the stevedoring workers lock and unlock the container twistlocks. The PSC includes two bins to get the twistlocks used and to avoid those to fall onto the dock, many lashing point to be used with harnesses, a very easy load & unload system for the twistlocks and safe sliding doors. The new Personnel Safety Cages will reduce the time spent while lashing cargo in the ship and will highly improve safety for the port workers.
