The TEC Container Ramshorn Hook (BA-186) has a double-hook design. These robust hooks ensure safe load handling and reduce the risk of slippage during operation.

Manufactured from high-strength alloy steel with a strength class of V, it is highly durable and can be used safely in the most demanding conditions. In fact, it meets the DIN 15402 standard. This is a standard established by the German Institute for Standardisation. The acronym DIN stands for Deutsches Institut für Normung.Its corrosion-resistant coating protects it in harsh maritime conditions at container terminals and during the most demanding work on industrial sites. In short, it has a long lifespan.

With a Working Load Limit (WLL) of 70 tonnes, it can lift practically all types of cargo, from delicate items to the heaviest loads.

Some of our clients have used them to lift wind turbine sections, steel pipes, crates and much more besides. As the Ramshorn Hook design suggests, slings, ropes and chains are typically used for lifting loads. For long cargo such as steel pipelines, two reach stackers moving in perfect synchronisation are required.

The Ramshorn Hook is attached to the reach stacker using two robust hoisting bolts. These bolts provide a rigid and stable attachment, ensuring the equipment is securely fixed to the reach stacker.

Built-in locking mechanisms (safety interlocks) also prevent the load from being released accidentally during lifting.
